AI Services

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the way universities work, learn, and discover. At UNT System, AI services are a vital part of both our research enterprise and our day-to-day operations. By harnessing the power of AI, we are pushing the boundaries of innovation while streamlining the business of higher education.

Copilot Chat

Available to all of our students, faculty, and staff, Copilot Chat is a no extra cost solution that provides answers to questions, generates content, and provides assistance with general tasks using public data.

Any information or documents that you upload or ask Copilot Chat to help you with should be public and not contain any sensitive, proprietary, or confidential information.

M365 Copilot

Microsoft 365 (M365) Copilot is a paid add-on license ($30/user per month) that can be added to your existing Microsoft 365 subscription provided by UNT System. Faculty and staff can request a license through Service Now here.

Deeply integrated into Microsoft’s 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc..), it can access our organization’s internal data – emails, meetings, documents, chats – and use that context to generate tailored responses.

Use M365 Copilot to supercharge your creativity, expand your expertise, enhance collaboration, manage your time, and more. Learn more about what you can do with M365 Copilot at Microsoft’s site.

Access to emails, meetings, documents, chats, etc. is controlled by security. M365 Copilot does not use data you do not have access to in its responses. Since our data is confined to our Microsoft environment, you may use proprietary documents, but do not include sensitive data.
