What Is It?

UNiTyAI is UNT System's private, institution-branded AI platform, built on Microsoft partner Cloudforce's nebulaONE and deployed exclusively within UNT System's Microsoft Azure environment.

It goes beyond AI chat — UNiTyAI is an AI agent-enabling platform that allows users and teams to build custom, data-powered AI agents tailored to specific institutional needs, without requiring extensive technical expertise. Some functions and features do require additional approvals and will require technical work from System IT.

It is the most advanced AI option available through UNT System and is purpose-built for higher education. With over 1600 models available, the possibilities are endless!

Who Is It For?

  • Faculty, staff, and teams who need AI customized to specific workflows
  • Departments wanting to build AI agents for their individual use cases (e.g., admissions, advising, HR policy, IT helpdesk)
  • Researchers and advanced users needing flexibility across multiple AI models
  • Teams working on higher-risk or specialized AI applications subject to governance review

What Can You Do With It?

  • Build custom AI agents grounded in your own institutional data — no code required
  • Access multiple leading AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, Mistral, and more)
  • Analyze documents, images, and data through natural language conversations
  • Automate repetitive workflows and create task-specific AI assistants
  • Deploy AI for specialized use cases: admissions assistants, academic advising bots, IT helpdesk triage, policy Q&A agents, document remediation, and more
  • Maintain strict data privacy with all data staying within UNT System's Azure environment

Data and Security

UNiTyAI is deployed entirely within UNT System's Microsoft Azure environment — no data is sent to public cloud platforms or used to train AI models.

It supports sensitive institutional data on a case-by-case basis, subject to governance review. All advanced use cases — particularly those involving institutional data, automated decision-making, or public-facing applications — should go through the UNT System AI Governance review process.
